01 — About

About Me

I'm a software engineer, maker, and musician based in Ramsgate, on the beautiful Kent coast.

For over 15 years, I've been building products at the intersection of craft and technology. I've worked with TechStars-backed startups, built DeFi platforms, led component libraries, and even founded a mechanical keyboard company.

Currently, I'm a Senior Front-end Engineer at Kyoso, where I focus on building delightful user experiences with TypeScript and modern web technologies.

02 — Philosophy

What I Care About

I believe in the power of craft—whether that's writing clean TypeScript, designing hardware, or building guitar pedals. Quality matters. Details matter. The experience of using something well-made matters.

Beyond software, I'm a session musician, producer, and songwriter. I build guitar pedals, audio equipment, and musical instruments. There's something special about making physical things that you can hold, touch, and hear.

My Approach

I approach every project—whether digital or physical—with the same mindset: deep understanding, thoughtful design, and careful execution. I care about the "why" as much as the "how."

I write about the intersection of making physical and digital things, sharing what I learn along the way.
